New Touche Amore video for a song I recorded off of their upcoming split w/ Pianos become the teeth. Stoked!
A track off of Touche Amore’s split w/ The Casket Lottery. I recorded and mixed this along with several other tracks over the course of 3 days. One of the other songs is going to appear on their split w/ Pianos become the teeth. The other stuff has yet to be announced. You’ll just have to wait and see.
As for the recording of this stuff, It was a super straight forward session. Nick used his Mesa set up, Clayton tracked with his fender twin reverb, Bass is top secret. Vocals were recorded in a similar fashion to how I tracked them for their first LP. Lots of room sound. I used a cheap tape recorded mic for a bulk of the guitar tone, and my secret $40 mic for the drum room and vocals.

I’m currently in the studio with a cool Indie pop band called Tough Stuff, I’m also wrapping up mixes on the new Polygraph record, Being as an ocean acoustic EP, and Son Of man 7”.
I leave for tour with my band Silver Snakes in 2 weeks. Doing a full US with Broadway Calls. Upon my return, I’ll be in the studio with Vales from the UK for 2 weeks to work on their new full length. I’m super excited!

It’s a new year so i want to get things started right. I’ll regularly update this thing with what i’m working on. Here is a recap of the last few months :
New computer at the studio and tons of new plug-ins. Recordings have been sounding better than ever!
Joyce manor s/t got punknews record of the year! I recently traveled to san francisco with the band to co produce their new record due out this year on Asian Man records.
I’ve worked with a lot of cool bands in 2011. Some of my favorites include : Honest abe, polygraph, acxdc, DNF, Joyce Manor, Condition + many more.
My band Silver Snakes had a very busy year. Had our first record released and did a few tours. 2012 is looking to be even busier but i will still be doing as many records as possible while i’m home. As always, booking early is your best bet.
